RECIPE: 2X EAT CLEAN OVERNIGHT OATS

Overnight Oats are perfect for breakfast AND easy to make. You prepare them the night before and when you wake up they are ready to be eaten. I have two delicious recipes for you that are completely #eatclean and contain some  superfoods: one with Coconut, Chia Seeds & Cacao and one with Banana, Almond (butter) & Linseed. Very healthy, good carbs and no hassle!

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day and oats are the perfect breakfast food, because they contain good carbs that give you an energyboost and thus get you kickstarted for the day from the moment you put them in your mouth. If you prepare oats with almond milk (or any other kind of milk), put them in a jar and leave them overnight, they will have soaked up all the fluids in the morning. Therefore, you don't have to cook your oats or go through any other hassle, which is great if you're not a morning person, like me.

The base of all recipes is oats, obviously. You can basically add anything you like to it! All ingredients I used can be considered as #eatclean, which means that all ingredients are natural and contain no added sugars or artificial sweeteners. Besides that, I've used superfoods, which are foods that (supposedly) have health benefits. As I worked in a health store for many years I know (literally almost) everyyyy thingggg about them.

I have used Chia seeds, which contains omega 3-6-9 (good fats) and are high in fiber and iron (will give you energy). Besides that I used Cacao nibs, which contain anti-oxidants (good for the skin). To make it smooth and creamy  I used Almond butter, which contains good oils and carbs (energy). For the crunch, I used Linseed, which contains omega's as well and will make you poop (which is important too you know). As a special ingredient I used PB2, which is peanut powder. When you add water to it, it gets the consistency of peanut butter. However, you can also add the powder to smoothies, cakes, cookies etc. All of these ingredients are good for your health, but will also help keep your skin, hair and nails in good condition.

The recipes

Coco, Chia & Cacao
1/2 cup organic oats
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tbsp PB2
1 tbsp raw cacao nibs
1/2 tsp chia seeds
1 tsp shredded coconut
1 tsp toasted coconut

Banana, Almond & Linseed
1/2 cup organic oats
1/2 cup almond milk
2 tbsp almond butter
 1/2 fresh banana
1 tbsp almond flakes
1 tbsp whole almonds
You can add some honey, agave syrup or coconut sugar if you like it sweet.

Basically you just have to throw all the ingredients together in one jar (any jar will do). You don't have to follow the exact recipe, you can add anything you like, but just be careful not to use too much Chia Seeds or Linseed. If you have done all that, put the jars in the fridge and go to sleep! Take them out in the morning and YUM
